Overview

Tenkaichi Bintaro stands out as a beacon of authentic Japanese cuisine nestled in the bustling area of Kebayoran Square Business Park, South Tangerang. Specializing in tempura donburi—rice bowls topped with perfectly fried tempura—it brings a slice of Japan to Indonesia’s culinary scene.

The heart of Tenkaichi’s menu lies in its variety of tendon bowls, featuring premium ingredients like tiger shrimp, succulent tuna belly, and tender boneless chicken, paired with seasonal vegetables such as kabocha and Japanese sweet potato. Each tempura piece boasts a light, crisp batter reminiscent of those you’d find in Tokyo, skillfully fried to avoid excess oiliness while maintaining a delicate crunch. The balance in cooking technique ensures satisfaction with every bite, inviting diners to savor the harmony of textures and flavors without feeling overwhelmed.

Located on Jalan Boulevard Bintaro Jaya, the restaurant’s space delivers a calm atmosphere enhanced by touches like a miniature Japanese Zen garden, creating a subtle yet immersive ambiance that complements the dining experience. While some feedback points to the absence of background music and occasional slow service, the tranquil environment remains welcoming, especially for solo diners or those craving a quiet meal. The availability of stable Wi-Fi further supports those who wish to combine casual dining with a bit of entertainment or remote work.

Tenkaichi’s appeal stretches beyond the food itself. The spacious layout is easy to navigate with ample parking, making it accessible for families, groups, or individuals seeking authentic Japanese flavors without venturing far from home. Its focus on tendon bowls brings a niche specialty rarely found in the Bintaro area, offering a true alternative to the Jakarta-centric Japanese dining options.

While the service pace can improve, particularly during quieter periods, the consistent quality of the tempura and the restaurant’s overall cleanliness and ambiance make it a worthwhile destination. For those who cherish Japanese comfort food that respects tradition with a local touch, Tenkaichi Bintaro promises a rewarding experience. A dependable spot for both quick bites and relaxed meals, it earns its place as a favored option for tendon enthusiasts and newcomers alike.

Tempura is great but service is a bit slow. Our food took 30+ mins to come out and the moment we arrived the employee told us to wait outside instead of inside (the 1st floor is empty at this moment). Tempura is good especially when it is mixed with the sauce. super love the fried jalapeno. Ramen & udon is just okay. the black garlic taste is quite unique Imo, please pay attention to the serving time, especially when people bring kids it is quite upsetting to wait for the food for too long even when it is not too crowded. Also, do add the ambiance music, because without it felt quite awkward and we could hear a lot of random sound happening around

If you're looking for a big portion of tendon bowl under 100k, this place is for you. It's kind of hard to find the perfect tendon in Bintaro, since most great Japanese restos are in Jakarta. So, i was pleasantly surprise the tendon here exceeded my expectations. Every element was perfectly fried, from the ebi to the veggies, and nothing tasted oily at all. That means they nailed the cooking time and technique, and i didn’t feel nauseated finishing the whole bowl on my own. Even though the side dishes were quite a lot, the rice portion was just right, nothing felt overwhelming. I'm super satisfied with the food, the service, and the ambience. The place is clean and, most importantly, they have fast Wi-Fi. So if you're coming solo and want to binge your favorite series, you won't need to worry about your data. Will i go back to this place? 100% yes!

This is my second time visiting Tenkaichi and it has easily become my favorite tempura don restaurant! The taste is consistent, the tempura and its batter are similar with the one I ate in Japan. I would say the taste is authentic and less-localized. Portion for the tempura: HUMONGOUS. The restaurant is easy to spot, with lots of parking lots for both cars and motorcycles. Would definitely visit here again.

the place is good, the ambience is nice. The food is also nice. Just tried the signature tempura. interested in trying other dishes like ramen or soba. however i have some notes on the service. The waiting time needs to be improved. I felt it was quite long, since it was not crowded at all. Also, there is only one ordering machine which is placed next to the entrance door. Just thinking if there are many customers arriving at the same time.

I recently visited Tenkaichi, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The food was really good, and the tempura was crispy, though it was a little crispier than what I usually prefer. However, it was still delicious, and the shrimp and vegetables were perfectly cooked. The standout part of the meal was definitely the friendly staff — they were attentive and made the experience even better. It’s always nice when the service matches the quality of the food. One thing to note, though, is that the restaurant could improve its exhaust system. Even though my wife and I were seated on the second floor, the smell of oil from the kitchen on the first floor still lingered, which was a bit distracting. Overall, I’d still recommend Tenkaichi for the great food and welcoming atmosphere — just be prepared for a bit of an oily aroma.

This is like a “remedial” visit, after my visit to their first outlet in Sunter was less than satisfactory. And Tenkaichi Bintaro really did a good job, the place is well designed, comfy and spacious. No long queue, but the service speed still could be better (we still need to wait for more than 15 minutes for the food to be served). But the most important thing is their tempura really meet my expectations, it’s crunchy until the last bite, the shrimp is quite huge and it’s not oily. They also provide tenkasu and tentsuyu at your table, so it’s super convenient. They also gave us complimentary diced watermelon after we finished our meal
